Wild camping weekend in Cornwall

We’re having a wild camping weekend in Cornwall.

Left home at 5pm after Serena finished work. Stayed at Wheal Coates tin mine near St Agnes. This was the first stop of our wild camping weekend in Cornwall.

31st July 2011.
It’s our 19th wedding anniversary so we drove down to Godrevy Point near the lighthouse. And we signed Katie up with the National Trust so we can use their car parks. As they own most of the Cornish Coast. We parked overlooking the lighthouse.Had a lovely walk around the area and found the seals. The girls loved seeing them.

It’s a great spot but we were told to leave at 10pm. They lock the gate, so we parked just outside with several other vans. It rained most of the day but turned into a nice evening.

1st August 2011.
The National Trust man came and knocked on the door just before 9am to tell us we were not allowed to park there overnight. What is it with National Trust volunteers? They all seem to be miserable killjoys, full of their own self-importance. Next time we will drive further along the coast road where there is lots of little off road parking areas. The area is really nice and worth visiting.
