Wet weekend in Devon

Prepared the van and waited for the girls to get home from school. Serena to finish work. Hoping for good weather so we can have a BBQ on the beach and do some fishing. The forecast is not good. But it turned into a wet weekend in Devon.

Drove to Budleigh Salterton. There was a £6 car park fee for twenty-four hours. Grey and raining so dinner in the van and spent the evening playing board games.

16th July 2011.
Woke at 5am checked the weather, grey, raining and blowing a gale so stayed in bed. Had breakfast and decided weather was not going to improve so we went to Dartmoor.  I drove to Brent Tor at Blacknor Park. We were hoping for a good sunset behind the church. It was on and off rain all day so we stayed in the van reading. No sunset, just greyclouds. I went for a walk in the evening to find a good spot to photograph the view at sunrise. Hope weather will improve.

17th July 2011.

Woke at 5am to heavy rain and grey sky, stayed in bed and had a lie in. Breakfast and then home.
