Daisy, Pilote R860s exclusive

First trip in Daisy, Pilote R860s exclusive

We wanted to have a couple of days away to test out Daisy, Pilote R860s exclusive. Didn’t want to go far. So after checking the weather forecast we chose the Truro area of Cornwall for our trial run. We left home at 10.30am on Sunday morning. The weather was grey and very windy which made for some interesting driving. Sudden gusts of wind hitting the side of the van.

We were booked into a CL site at Llama Lland near Truro. It’s two miles off the A30 and a couple of miles outside Truro. It is a lovely site with electric hook-ups. They have 170 Llamas, run by a very friendly couple. Check out their website Llama Lland. Dispite it being cold and windy, we had a great time.

Monday was another grey day and the girls wanted to go shopping so we went to Truro for the day. We parked at the recreation ground by the river and walk in from there. Bought a few things for the van and had a bacon roll from a street vendor. Not sure if we are going to get food poisoning, the vendor was not the most hygienic.

We had booked into Higher Eathorne Farm CL site near Falmouth, We arrived late afternoon, it is a fairly large field with electric hook-ups nicely spaced around the edge next to a field of Alpacas and nice views along the valley.

I could not get the gas heater to work. With no instructions I just played around to see if I could get it going. Luckily we had brought an electric radiator with us to keep us warm. We also found we could not empty the grey water tank as it has a blockage.
Tuesday was another grey miserable day so we took a slow leisurely drive home, emptied the van and I crawled under the van to unblock the water tank getting drenched in nasty water in the process.
