The Valley of Rocks is a popular tourist destination, noted for its herd of feral goats, and for its geology. The valley is believed to owe its existence to a former extension of the valley of the East Lyn River which now meets the sea at Lynmouth.
There are two pay and display car parks in the valley, a lovely little tea room and the cricket club.
You can follow the ‘North Walk’, which is a coastal path, from Lynton to the valley.
The Valley of Rocks is one of our favourite places to visit, the scenery is just indescribably breath taking and leaves you knowing how very insignificant you are in comparison. Absolutely everyone should visit and take in the beauty.
