Lynton and Lynmouth are twin villages in Devon, on the edge of Exmoor and famous for the water operated cliff railway that connects them.
Besides taking the short ride on the railway, there are coastal walks and tourist shops in both towns to be visited. You can walk along the river at Lynmouth, when the tide is out play on the pebble beach or visit Glen Lyn Gorge.
Hard to describe Lynton and Lynmouth, they’re two towns and one town all rolled together. You can’t visit one with out the other as you’d miss so much. It’s a definite whole day as there is more than enough of interest to do here. Absolutely love it.
